As of today, YMCA childcare workers in Ottawa are on strike-members of CUPE 2204.
They have a petition which can be signed here: http://cupe.ca/ymca-ywca-child-care-workers-defending-high-quality-child-care. People can also contact the employer, attached is their most current information flyer which has that information.
They would also benefit significantly from solidarity at the picket lines. Workers are striking at the Taggart Family YMCA from 7-11 a.m. and 2-6 p.m. each day, the Avalon School Childcare from 7-11 a.m. and 2-6 p.m. each day, and the Ruddy YMCA from 7-11 a.m. each day.
