The Ottawa CUPE Council believes that social change comes happens when people come together to take action. The power of the labour movement comes from the collective action of workers, and is founded on the belief that an injury to one is an injury to all. We believe that the same is true of struggles that reach beyond the trade union movement. As labour activists, we have a responsibility to engage and act in solidarity with the struggles of anyone facing oppression in our workplaces, schools, communities, and in our streets. This is why the OCDUPE Council believes thag with and supporting organizations and groups that are doing important work for social change in the Ottawa area.
