The Ottawa CUPE District Council is organizing with many like minded organizations to support the Ottawa Gatineau Climate March, themed “Draw the Line.”
Please see the appeal below, and if you would like to join the labour contingent as a local or as an individual, please email us at ottawacupecouncil@gmail.com
OCDC specifically notes the significant environmental damage caused by war, such as the ongoing genocide in Palestine, and urge organizations to support anti war and peace movements both from a humanitarian and compassionate perspective, but also from a climate justice perspective.

Help Make Ottawa the Heart of a National Uprising for Climate Justice
On Saturday, September 20, people across Canada will Draw the Line—demanding real climate action, a rapid transition off fossil fuels, and justice for all. Here in Ottawa-Gatineau, we’re proud to host the flagship march of this historic national mobilization.
We are a growing, intersectional coalition—including Fridays for Future Ottawa, Seniors For Climate, 350 Canada, Ecology Ottawa, CAFEs, CAN-Rac Canada, SCAN Ottawa, CUSA, Carleton Public Interest Research Group and others—uniting generations, movements, and communities in a shared call for bold climate justice.
We are saying no more delays, no more fossil fuel expansion, no more broken promises—and yes to renewable energy, climate justice, and a livable future.
The Climate March is also seeking donations, please visit the link below to donate, through Seniors for Climate Action Now’s Zeffy Link:
